Fighting the wrong battle

South Africa has recently brought in new travel laws, designed ostensibly, to prevent child trafficking into South Africa. These new laws stipulate that if both parents of minor children (under the age of 18) are travelling with the child, they must be in possession of an original birth certificate showing both parent’s details (an unabridged birth certificate).
