Banker Middle East Product Awards 2012

Rewarding the very best in banking and financial services

The Banker Middle East Product Awards 2012 – the quest for excellence – sees 28 banks from around the Gulf region in the spotlight for offering ‘best in class’ products and services.

Celebrating the best in banking and financial services, the Banker Middle East Product Awards 2012 saw 28 banks and financial institutions from around the Gulf region garner 37 awards, with nine banks each walking away with awards in two different categories.

The Banker Middle East Product Awards recognise banking products and services that are either exceptionally innovative or have generated excellent financial results and/or transference of market share. From a total of 66 institutions and 215 nominations, the winners were announced at a gala dinner held at the Emirates Towers Hotel in Dubai on 27 March, 2012.

“CPI Financial’s annual Banker Middle East Product Awards set the benchmark for the MENA region’s financial services industry. Every year we see a reflection of the industry’s immense progress. Our Awards are designed to encourage, inspire, and reward distinction in the banking and finance industry. Our winners set the standard for others within the sector,” said Adam Broom, Chief Operating Officer of CPI Financial.

The Banker Middle East Product Awards is a region-wide awards programme. The Awards are based on a peer-vote process. The results are NOT decided internally by Banker Middle East; further, they are NOT chosen by a small panel of judges.  Only registered readers of Banker Middle East, or its sister publications Islamic Business & Finance, WEALTH and financeME, together with registered users of the real-time financial news website www.cpifinancial.net were eligible to vote.

“The financial services industry in the Middle East is a young, vibrant and fast-evolving sector with an unprecedented opportunity to create strong, profitable and lasting consumer and corporate businesses. The Banker Middle East Product Awards demonstrate how the challenges, to build loyalty and trust; to improve the customer experience; to deliver the very best value proposition, are being met,” added Robin Amlôt, Managing Editor of CPI Financial.
