Job Description

Responsible for Managing end to end Legal, Repossession & Foreclosure Function for UAE Collections & Recoveries covering—Leading a high performing Specialized Collection team- Filing Cheque Bounce Complaints for all Retail Products - Secured & Unsecured- Driving Mortgage Foreclosure for the Bank- Handling Car Repossession and Sale- Managing Legal related Vendor relationships such as Collection Law firms, Auction house, Auto Yard.- Coordinating with Law firms & Authorities to ensure successful execution of cases. - Ensure timely repossession and sale of identified vehicles to support Auto Recoveries- Responsible for Managing Vendor Billing and Cost delivery within Cost Budget- Coordinate with Legal, Compliance, Operations, Product, Client Experience and other stakeholders regarding Collection Litigation matters- Publish requisite MI and updates to all stakeholders- Consistently devise means of improving Default Legal Coverage, TAT, Cost Benefit- Ensure regular reviews, SLA with all internal and external stakeholder for effective outcomes.- Ensure adherence to Internal Policy, Country Regulations and Laws at all times- Accountable for satisfactory closure of issues/gaps arising from Internal Audits, Business Risk Reviews, peer reviews, third party law firm audits and regulatory reviews- Improve Collection productivity and effectiveness by ensuring appropriateness of processes and training programs - Ensure that the Collections Strategy & Processes for pertaining to Specialised Collections are updated and followed at all times.- Ensure all CSTs/KCI/Group Policies/ L&C gaps relating to Specialized Collection are mitigated swiftly.- Oversee career development plans of key resources; viz. direct and indirect reports, to assure robust succession planning and adequate bench-strength for key positions- Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct.- Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
