RAK SME launches student membership next year

The Saud Bin Saqr Establishment for Small and Medium Enterprises (RAK SME), a RAK Chamber initiative, has announced a new membership category entitled “Student Membership”.

The new project will target students in the primary, secondary and university levels.

Yousif Esmaeel, Chairman of the Supreme Committee of RAK SME, said that the "Student Membership" project operates on the basis of enhancing the Establishment’s social responsibility, and spreading knowledge and awareness of the concept of innovation and creativity in entrepreneurship among the students. This will be part of the Establishment’s annual plan for this category through the roll out of specialised training and awareness programmes.

“Following the vision of our wise leadership in building a capable and skillful society, the Establishment seeks to provide opportunities to empower, educate and train students with entrepreneurial skills to enter the business market and thus contributes positively to national economic growth,” Esmaeel added.

Rashed Sawaqed, Feasibility Studies and Business Development Consultant at RAK SME said, “The launch of Student Membership will take effect at the beginning of next year. Member students will have the opportunity to attend all the training courses related to entrepreneurship and organised by the Establishment. Membership will be available for all the students in Ras Al Khaimah. A number of training courses targeting the student category will be introduced as part of RAK SME’s training plan for the coming years.”
