CBB issues treasury bills worth BHD 70 million

This week’s BHD 70 million issue of Government Treasury Bills has been subscribed by 278 per cent, according to a statement by the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB).

The approximate average price for the issue was 99.442% with the lowest accepted price being 99.435%.

The bills, carrying a maturity of 91 days, are issued by the CBB, on behalf of the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain. 

The issue date of the bills is 8 March 2017 and the maturity date is 7 June 2017.

The weighted average rate of interest is 2.22%, compared to 2.24% for the previous issue on 1 March 2017.

This is issue No. 1642 (ISIN BH000669E889) of Government Treasury Bills. With this, the total outstanding value of Government Treasury Bills stands at BHD 1.810 billion.
