Kuwait issues $8 billion in international bonds

Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reports that Kuwait is issuing $8 billion-worth of debut bonds on the international markets as of 13 March 2017.

KUNA said the Kuwaiti Government is offering $3.5 billion in five-year bonds and $4.5 billion in 10-year bonds.

The issue is reported to be oversubscribed more than three times in the wake of meetings held by Kuwait’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance HE Anas Khalid Al-Saleh with investors in New York, Boston, Los Angeles and London. The investor meetings were arranged by Citi Group, HSBC and JPMorgan.
