Whoopey.com launches new digital wallet

Whoopey.com, a Dubai-based e-commerce platform, has announced the launch of a comprehensive digital wallet feature that empowers customers to earn cashback on each purchase through their website.

Aimed at driving loyalty among its growing customer base, the digital wallet system will reward consumers with instant cash savings on spends, instead of loyalty points, that can be utilised for subsequent purchases.

“Our new digital wallet provides unique features and outstanding value to our customers through offering significant savings on a daily basis. We are constantly expanding our portfolio of products, categories and services to enable our customers to make smarter choices. It is crucial for e-commerce to get a boost beyond the discount-based offers, and bringing forth a personalised wallet for each and every consumer of ours will not only drive loyalty but also expand the scope of e-commerce in the region,” said Saad Khan, CEO, Whoopey.com.

Combining a range of product categories and benefits to maximise value for money for its customers, Whoopey.com’s digital wallet features cashback on all purchases, including consumer electronic products across brands such as Dell, Lenovo, Apple, Targus, I-Life and more. In addition, the incentives are not only applicable but of much higher value for monthly offers and schemes running on the platform.

With the introduction of a digital wallet system, the firm intends to boost the adoption of online payment methods as against CODs (cash on delivery); which is a pain-point for most online retailers.  Going forward, a host of other integrated services will be initiated by Whoopey.com around the digital wallet to further promote its regular consumers to save and store cash in their personalised digital wallet.

“We are confident that this attractive offer will be an excellent value addition to our customers in terms of shopping experience, whilst reaping great savings and other benefits,” Khan added.

The service will be available to customers in UAE, KSA and Qatar, where members can also choose same-day (for Dubai only), morning or scheduled delivery on over 6,000 products. In addition, the wallet will soon be rolled out on the other platforms such as an Arabic website and mobile apps.
