Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB), the largest Islamic bank in the UAE, announced today that the Bank’s Human Resources Department has received the ISO 9001:2015 certification for Quality Management Systems (QMS).

The ISO 9001:2015 is the updated edition of the world’s first Quality Management Systems. The ISO 9001:2015 certification validates DIB’s continuous efforts towards successfully implementing international best practises in line with the bank’s vision, said the bank in a statement.

"One of the primary areas of focus for DIB is to build robust strategies and policies to ensure exceptional HR operations throughout the Bank. The ISO 9001:2015 certification is a remarkable milestone for DIB as it further reinforces its position as a market leader and employer of choice," the bank continued.

Commenting on this achievement, Obaid Al Shamsi, Head of Human Resources & Administration, Dubai Islamic Bank sai, “Obtaining the ISO 9001:2015 certification illustrates that Dubai Islamic Bank, with the adoption of best practises, has elevated the overall quality of its internal process and services. This is also fundamental because we truly believe that our people are the foundation of our success. DIB as a customer centric bank, if our employees have the right tools, are motivated and focused, they can demonstrably enhance customer value and service. Improving customer experience and increasing shareholder value has always been one of the key pillars of the Bank’s strategy, and this achievement shows that we are heading in the right direction.”

The ISO 9001:2015 is based on quality management principles that organisations use to improve their performance. The QMS certification is considered to be the world’s most coveted quality recognition, and is dedicated to improving the performance of organisations globally. The ISO 9001 Quality Management System helps organisations continually monitor and manage quality across all operations, while setting a benchmark for consistent performances and services.
