Central Bank of Bahrain issues Treasury Bills worth BHD 70 million

This week’s BHD 70 million issue of Government Treasury Bills has been oversubscribed by 110 per cent.

According to a statement by the central bank, the Government Treasury Bills, carrying a maturity of 91 days, are issued by the CBB, on behalf of the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain. The issue date of the bills is 3 May 2017 and the maturity date is 2 August 2017.


The weighted average rate of interest is 2.22 per cent, compared to 2.23 per cent for the pr ous issue on 26th April 2017. The approximate average price for the issue was 99.442 per cent with the lowest accepted price being 99.439 per cent.


This is issue No. 1649 (ISIN BH0001H96969) of Government Treasury Bills. With this, the total outstanding value of Government Treasury Bills is BHD 1.810 billion.
