Euro zone optimism

Mihir Kapadia, CEO, Sun Global Investments

In Europe, retail spending across the Euro zone rose by 0.1 per cent, weaker than the 0.2 per cent which was expected.

However on an annual basis, spending was 2.5 per cent higher than in April 2016.

The good news has also carried into investor morale across the Euro zone with a score of 28.4 points, up from 27.4 in May.

This is the highest since the financial crisis of ’07, with a strong optimism wave sweeping the markets.
