CBB Sukuk Al-Ijarah subscribed by 100 per cent


The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) announced that the monthly issue of the short-term Islamic leasing bonds, Sukuk Al-Ijarah, has been subscribed by 100 per cent. 

Subscriptions worth BD 26 million were received for the BD 26 million issue, which carries a maturity of 182 days. 

The expected return on the issue, which begins on 13th July 2017 and matures on 11th January 2018, is 2.45 per cent compared to 2.37 for the previous issue on 15th June 2017. 

The Sukuk Al-Ijarah are issued by the CBB on behalf of the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
