CBB 12 Month Treasury Bills Issue No.35 oversubscribed

The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) has announced that this month’s BHD 100 million issue of Government Treasury Bills has been oversubscribed by 124 per cent.

 The bills, carrying a maturity of 12 months, are issued by the CBB, on behalf of the Kingdom of Bahrain. The issue date of the bills is 27 July, 2017 and the maturity date is          26 July, 2018.

The weighted average rate of interest is 3.13 per cent compared to 3.08  per cent, for the previous issue on 29 June, 2017. The approximate average price for the issue was 96.931 per cent with the lowest accepted price being 96.866 per cent.

This is issue No.35 (ISIN BH000V8465O0) of Government Treasury Bills. With this, the total outstanding value of Government Treasury Bills is BHD 2.010 billion.
