CBB's August issue of treasury bills oversubscribed
The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) has announced that the BHD 35 million monthly issue of Government Treasury Bills has been oversubscribed by 120 per cent.
The bills, carrying a maturity of 182 days, are issued by the CBB, on behalf of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The issue date of the bills is 6 August 2017 and the maturity date is 4 February 2018.
The weighted average rate of interest is 2.52 per cent, compared to 2.45 per cent for the previous issue on 2 July 2017.
The approximate average price for the issue was 98.740 per cent, with the lowest accepted price being 98.703 per cent.
This is issue No. 1663 (ISIN BH0003811393) of Government Treasury Bills. With this, the total outstanding value of Government Treasury Bills is BHD 2.01 billion.
