UAE's first Women SME conference expected to attract female SME owners from across the region
Dubai’s first women SME conference will take place on 3-4 October 2017 at V FIVE Palm Jumeirah, Dubai.
With an expected attendance of over 200 women from across the Middle East, the Women SME conference in partnership with Dubai Business Women Council will cover various topics of interest to female SME owners.
“We are thrilled to host inspiring women at this year’s conference. These women are activists and leaders in their fields and their collective wisdom challenges us all to make the most of our own lives, talents and experiences–in short, to believe in our own power,” said Olga Sapozhnikova, Project Head for Women SME.
The two-day agenda will include keynote discussions, panels, roundtable meets, and workshops centred around running a business successfully in the region. Some of the topics on the agenda include: access to capital for women entrepreneurs; skills and capacity building; highlighting Government support for a regulatory and administrative environment for women entrepreneurs; actions and support measures for promoting female entrepreneurship in the ME.
The conference will also include workshops on finance, marketing, branding, copyrights, networking and public speaking skills, which will help empower attendees to thrive in a competitive landscape and scale up. They can also look forward to benefiting from the talents and wisdom of some of the region's finest female leaders.
“It is both my honour and privilege to come from England to share my experience and knowledge on female run businesses. I'll be speaking about progression over perfection and how we women are subconsciously designed to do everything right but sometimes this 'perfection' hinders our progress. When women from diverse backgrounds come together and support each other in their business, career and even personal aspirations, we grow together stronger. We become an unstoppable force of nature and can achieve the impossible,” said Michelle Raymond, Director of The Peoples Partner Limited, one of this year’s headline speakers.
Registration is now open and WOMEN SME 2017 invites all Women Entrepreneurs looking to improve their business acumen, Government and business women leaders and executives, corporate board members, policy makers, representatives from ngos and trade and industry associations, academics, domestic funding agencies and media to register. Women SME will provide the ideal ground for women to network and upgrade their knowledge and skill set through amazing experience share by other women over the course of this two day event.
