Path Solutions partners with BTI Bank to implement iMAL

 

Bank Al-TamweeI Wa Al-Inma (BTI Bank) seeks to meet new business requirements, in addition to addressing compliance and regulatory requirements.

Path Solutions has partnered with Moroccan-based BTI Bank to implement iMAL Islamic core banking platform for its retail, commercial and corporate banking operations as well as for multi-channel support, analytics, risk and compliance.

In a statement, Path Solutions said that the new system will cover internet banking, mobile banking and participatory invest as well as participatory treasury.

Additionally, the IMal system will also cover delivery channels, trade finance operations and financial messaging while ensuring compliance with local participatory banking regulations.

Mohamed Maarouf, General Manager at BTI Bank, said, “Our strategy is to benefit from information technology evolvement as it is impossible to attain long-term business objectives without leveraging the benefits of information technology in this digital age.

BTI Bank is a new bank in Morocco created in partnership with Al Baraka Banking Group and BMCE Bank Of Africa who own respectively 49 per cent and 51 per cent of the bank.
