EFG Hermes to acquire Nigeria brokerage, chases IPOs

 

EFG Hermes announced the signing of a definitive sale and purchase agreement (SPA) to acquire 100 per cent of Primera Africa, a top-ranked brokerage house in Nigeria in July.

The Egyptian-based EFG Hermes has reiterated that it is in talks to acquire a Nigerian brokerage and it is chasing private sector initial public offerings (IPOs), reported Reuters.

Mohamed Fahmi the Co-head EFG Hermes Investment Bank, said that is chasing private sector IPOs and mid-market mergers and acquisitions.
