Saudi Arabia plans special economic zone at Riyadh airport

 

The zone will be located in King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and will focus on integrated logistics.

Saudi Arabia has announced the establishment of a special economic zone which will apply special rules and regulations in a bid to draw more foreign investment into the Kingdom, according to local newswire, Saudi Press Agency.

A Royal decree was issued to approve the regulation of the Integrated Logistics Bonded Zone (ILBZ), which is part of a broad plan to establish special economic zones in competitive locations for promising sectors such as ICT, logistics, tourism as well as industrial and financial services.
